Nike Tuned

Over the last couple of decades, the line between off-roaders and regular cars has been increasingly blurred. A large chunk of the population of 4X4 owners bought their cars without the remotest intention of every trying to cross a river in the thing for them, the appeal lies in the sense of safety that comes from being encased Air Max 90 in a bigger vehicle, as well as the extra space and improved visibility.

But while most models have become ever more streamlined and been released with ever-lengthening lists of luxury features, the Land Rover Defender is been almost alone in staying true to the Air Jordan original off-road DNA; at least in visual terms.

For this very reason, the Defender has a special Tn Requin following all of its own among off-road purists, and the company itself is very aware of this as it plans the next step for a model that traces its roots back to 1948. As it is now, the Defender that you can buy today still has much in common with the one youd have bought in 1983, and this is precisely what gives it its appeal. Its also proving a bit of a headache for Land Rover though, which knows that it needs to make some sort of change to the Defender in order for it to remain compliant with the European safety and emissions regulations that will come into force for new cars in 2016. Its a tough balancing act, as Colin Green, managing director of Land Rovers UK operations, told AutoExpress recently, If we get this wrong, were messing up one of the industrys biggest icons.

As it stands, new Land Rover Defenders are waiting to be sampled at specialist dealers such as Charles Hurst for more details, please visit NEW LAND ROVER.
